Hi! I’m Amanda Dotts - a registered dietitian nutritionist specializing in prenatal nutrition. Northern Idaho is my home, but I provide virtual services nationwide with nutrition guidance through every stage of pregnancy and postpartum recovery. I help pregnant women by creating holistic, science-backed nutrition plans specific to YOU.

​I’ve been a registered dietitian since 2013, but my passion for prenatal nutrition began with my own journey to motherhood in 2021 after realizing the lack of nutrition education given to mothers during this crucial time period. That experience inspired me to create Nesting Nutrition - a virtual private practice dedicated to giving pregnant women the clarity, compassion, and expert nutrition support they deserve.
I combine my professional training, lived experience, and a whole-body approach to help you feel more energized, confident, and deeply supported during one of the most important (and demanding) seasons of your life.

I don’t give you outdated, cookie-cutter nutrition advice - I look at your labs, symptoms, food preferences, digestion, lifestyle, and goals to uncover root issues and create realistic, compassionate and personalized nutrition plans that truly work for YOU.

Pregnancy is hard enough as it is! My approach is to meet you where you are. No guilt. No judgement. Just gentle, holistic nutrition support for moms from someone who truly listens.

You don’t need a complicated diet that takes a ton of time to prep. You need a sustainable plan that works with your life.

I had more energy and felt more comfortable compared to my first pregnancy
I connected with Amanda toward the end of the second trimester of my second pregnancy with the goal of optimizing nutrition and hopefully getting rid of heartburn (which was brutal at the end of my first pregnancy and developed earlier in my second pregnancy). The education provided throughout our sessions was really helpful to me in not only addressing unpleasant symptoms (heartburn) but also optimizing nutrition.
